FORAMEN Chlorhexidine mouthwash is an effective antiseptic for prevention as an adjuvant in the treatment of GINGIVITIS and also before or after bleeding of the gums.

CHARACTERISTICS

– Dental plaque is considered the initiating or triggering factor for gum inflammation, also called gingivitis. For this reason, the control of dental plaque is key in the prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases. Chlorhexidine, a topically applied antimicrobial active against a broad spectrum of gram+ and gram- microorganisms, helps in the treatment of gingivitis (gum inflammation) and periodontitis, absorbing on the surface of the teeth and oral mucosa, thus increasing its permanence in the oral cavity and reducing plaque formation.

COMPOSITION

CONTAINS: Pro-Vitamin B5 0.50%, Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.12%, Sodium Fluoride 0.05%. INGREDIENTS: Aqua, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Poloxamer 407, Panthenol, Allantoin, Aroma, Sodium Methylparaben, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Sucrose Laurate, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Fluoride, Sodium Saccharin, Potassium Acesulfame, Alcohol, CI16035, Limonene.

METHOD OF USE

– Rinse after each brushing for 30 seconds and then expel the liquid.
– Do not ingest. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity reactions to chlorhexidine. These reactions are extremely rare.

SIDE EFFECTS: In some cases, alteration of taste and burning sensation in the tongue may occur, which generally diminish with continued use of the product. After prolonged use and contact with certain beverages and foods such as red wine and coffee and also with tobacco, discoloration of the teeth and fillings may occur. This staining is not permanent and can be removed with proper dental prophylaxis.
